Writing for the public sector started out in 2001 with a series of case studies on small businesses for the then Welsh Development Agency (now the Department for Enterprise Innovation and Networks or DEIN). Working for Government Departments involves a mixture of copywriting, research and journalism and ranges from case studies and reports to press articles, leaflets and web content.
Since those early days, the subjects have ranged from young people’s sexual health and drug problems to the Welsh Assembly Government’s strategy for older people and Wales’ bid for the European Galileo satellite project. I’ve also written about economic regeneration, education and childcare and turned my hand to a DVD script.
